If making things like stained glass, rugs, foam armor, props, or masks interests you, then come give it a try!

For all classes, all tools and materials are provided. Sign up ahead of time, currently walk-ins are not available. Check availability here online, but if you have a future date in mind, contact us and we will be more than happy to work something out.

No matter your artistic background, we want to show you just how creative and skilled you really are. At our studio, art is for fun, not for judgement. Mellow Maker is a safe place for people of all kinds to learn, create, and have a good time.

I’ve been making art all my life. You won’t find a single piece of my old schoolwork that didn’t have doodles on it instead of words. Constantly drawing everything that I thought was cool or would make me laugh. Though I was always pushed to do more with it all, I never really did. All the support in the world, but I never understood what I could “do” with it. All I ever heard about art in the adult world was competition and judgement. Not for me.

After a long break from making much of anything, I started to try out as many different mediums as I could. I remembered that art can be just for fun. Not thinking about if other people liked it, or if it served any purpose at all. I’ve realized that many people feel the same sense of expectation with art, along with the thought “ I’m not good at art”.

In my adult life, being a leader has been one of my greatest passions. The changes I make might be small, but if I can make anybody’s day a little better, then I am happy. Teaching is very important to me, because I’ve always felt like I don’t understand why everyone else but me gets it. I know that you need somebody who cares about the things they teach about for it to make an impact. I want every artist to feel like they are creative and skilled. I want to provide a safe place for people who want to make art. I want to keep it affordable to learn new skills and try things out. I want people to just have fun.

I don’t want anybody in my studio to feel like a stranger. I will take the time and put in the effort to make everyone here feel comfortable and understand what they want to learn. Let’s build a community and help each other grow as artists and people.

Reach out in any form, and we will speak directly. I hope to see or hear from you soon!
